Tailored drum tracks from beautiful colorado
Have you ever wondered what having live drums on your song would be like? Allow me to help answer that question.
Greetings, I'm Carl Holz, a Berklee alum and long time professional gigging and session drummer. I'm comfortable in any genre that needs pocket, and my decades of working with singer/songwriters on the creative side, has definitely shaped my approach. After recently retiring from the performance side of my career, I've been exclusively working from my home studio in Colorado with studios, producers, engineers and musicians around the world who are interested in a live, acoustic option to consider in place of programmed drums for any song or project. I work fast, with usually a one day turn-around, so if you have internet access, a DAW and the ability to record along with either a metronome or drum machine, I can take it from there.
I have created drum tracks for fellow musicians around the world, from songs getting hundreds of thousands of streams to songs that only the client hears and I'd like to show you what someone with my unique history can bring to your song.
My strength as a drummer is drawing on my 40+ years experience at just about every level of the industry, from studying with Alan Dawson at Berklee, to opening for Bob Seger in Detroit, to touring Air Force bases in Japan, Okinawa and Hawaii, to playing on a Howard Wales song for his Complex/Simplex album, all of which have shaped my approach to recording.
If you know exactly what you want the drums to do, I'm happy to oblige. If you're not exactly sure what would be best, then I will be happy to make suggestions (feel, mood, intensity, etc) for you.
What you get when you use Holzdrums:
8 tracks of drums professionally played and recorded
Ability to add most percussion via MIDI
Up to 5 revisions
A reference mp3 with a rough mix for each revision
When client is happy, you get the stems, either dry or with a basic EQ and Comp.
